Includes material relating to Goetz's work at Caltech's Cryogenic Laboratory and Rare Metals Institute and to his research on industrial applications of silver, particularly in desalination of water (during World War II), development of membrane filters for U.S. Chemical Corps for detection of microbiological agents, and studies of aerosols and atmospheric pollution.
